Many years of fishing, working, teaching, and dreaming has led to the creation of Wisco Outfitters. The goals of Wisco Outfitters are simple.
- Get people excited about fly fishing, and bring those people together
- Provide a foundation for beginners to get into fly fishing, through education and guided trips
- Promote the fisheries and opportunities of Wisconsin and the greater Madison area
- Promote local events to engage and entertain folks year around
- To sell some fun stuff
- Make fly fishing accessible and attractive to a wide array of people
- To develop destination trips for the intrepid angler, who knows fishing is really about having a good time, getting in touch with your surroundings, and being in beautiful places
About me..
My name is Matt Kwitek, and welcome to Wisco Outfitters. I started fishing at a young age with my dad, Marty Kwitek. I caught my first fish on a fly rod when I was 10, a trout on the Wolf River in northern Wisconsin. Through the years, I have developed a passion for fly fishing and a solid foundation that I hope to share with others. Most of my time has been spent fishing the rivers and lakes of our great state, from the Brule River, to Door County, to the Driftless and all over in between. I love what Wisconsin has to offer, everything from trout to bass, musky and steelhead. I can help you learn the basics of fly fishing our local waters or build upon your skills and experiences. I'm excited to start this venture...and to help you get excited about fly fishing and our local waters.
